About this policy

This policy applies to the free tools provided by Northlane at northlane.live subdomains, including LedgerLift, Password Generator, QR Code Generator, Sleep Calculator, TDEE Calculator, Word Counter and Developer Toolkit (together, “Northlane Tools”). It explains what information is handled when you visit and use them.

Information you enter into a tool

Tool inputs and calculations are processed in your browser. For example, LedgerLift reads a statement file in your browser to prepare a conversion, and the calculators, generators, word counter and developer utilities process the values or text you provide on your device. Northlane does not receive these inputs through the tools’ application code, and the tools do not create an account or save a history of your work.

Your browser still has to request the site’s pages and software from our hosting provider. As with any website, the provider may process basic connection and security data described below. Do not use these tools to process information you are not authorized to use.

Hosting and security data

Our hosting and delivery providers may automatically receive technical information when your browser requests a page or file. This can include your IP address, browser and device information, requested URL, referring page, and the date and time of the request. Providers may use this information to deliver the site, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems and maintain security, under their own terms and privacy notices. Northlane does not use information entered into a tool as a server-side user profile.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

The tools do not require an account and do not use cookies to save your tool inputs or history. If we add analytics or other optional technologies, we will update this policy to describe them.

If advertising is enabled on a Northlane Tools page, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show, personalize, limit, and measure ads. Those technologies may collect or use information such as your IP address, browser or device identifiers, ad interactions and visits to pages where ads appear. Google’s use of information is governed by Google’s partner sites policy. You can review or change Google ad personalization through Google Ads Settings. Browser settings may also let you control cookies. Ad availability and controls depend on your region and Google’s requirements.

Where required, we will provide the consent choices and notices required for advertising. At the time of this policy update, advertising has not been enabled on Northlane Tools.

Children

Northlane Tools are general-purpose utilities and are not designed to collect personal information from children. Please contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information to Northlane.

External websites

A tool may link to another website or service. Those sites operate under their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices.
