Fill PDF Form

Fill out a PDF form online for free, with no sign-up and nothing uploaded. Open a fillable PDF, type your answers, tick the boxes and choose options, then download it — editable or flattened.

How to fill a PDF form

1. Open the form

Choose or drop a fillable PDF. It's read on your device and its fields are listed page by page.

2. Enter your answers

Type into text fields, tick checkboxes and choose options. Read-only fields stay as the form's author set them.

3. Download

Keep the form editable, or flatten it so the answers can't be changed. Add a signature afterwards with Sign PDF.

Frequently asked questions

How do I fill out a PDF form for free?+

Open the PDF here. Every fillable field is listed by page: type into text boxes, tick checkboxes and pick options from the lists. Then download the filled PDF. There's no account, no sign-up and no watermark.

Is my information uploaded anywhere?+

No. The PDF is opened and filled entirely in your browser, so the form and your answers never leave your device. That matters for tax forms, applications and medical paperwork.

What does “flatten the form” do?+

It turns your answers into ordinary page content, so they can't be edited and look the same in every PDF viewer. Leave it unticked if you or someone else still needs to change the answers later.

Why does it say my PDF has no fillable fields?+

Some PDFs only look like forms: they're scans or flat documents without interactive fields. For those, use Sign PDF to type text, add tick marks, the date or your signature anywhere on the page.

Can I sign the form too?+

Signature fields need a drawn or typed signature, which this tool doesn't add. Fill the form here, download it, then open it in Sign PDF to place your signature.

Why are some field names strange?+

The names come from whoever made the form. Many forms use codes like “f1_01”. Hover over a label to see its full name, and check the field's position against the printed form if you're unsure.

Can I type in any language?+

Most forms use a standard font that covers English and Western European languages. Characters outside it, such as emoji, Cyrillic or Chinese, can't be written into those fields; you'll see a message if that happens.

Does it work with IRS and government forms?+

It works with standard fillable PDF (AcroForm) forms, which most government forms use. A few forms are built with Adobe's older XFA format, which only Adobe Reader can fill; those show few or no fields here.
